Laymen's Auxiliary
Greetings Brothers,
I pray that this letter reaches you in good health and that you and your family are remaining prayerful and safe during these perilous times.
I am so very thankful for your support, encouragement and prayers during the virtual convention of 2020. We thank God for the host church, Franchise Missionary Baptist Church of Phoenix City, AL and their illustrious Pastor, Rev. Raymond Cochran. They far exceeded our expectations and we will forever be grateful.
Our prayers are for all the men of the Southeast District during this pandemic and we encourage everyone to keep your focus on the reward during these trials and tribulations, which is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
As your President, I will continue to lead in a way that is pleasing to God and to keep the men of the Southeast District involved. It is my duty to communicate with each President of their association and district so that they may inform the brothers locally of what is going on in the state of Alabama.
Each year every wing in the state of Alabama is responsible for a special effort offering of $7,000. We are once again tasked with this to help support the State of Alabama Laymen. I am asking every district in the Southeast to support us with this special effort by providing $700.00 per association. I understand that with Covid-19 many of the associations have not been active and may not be able to provide this amount. We need your support in order to meet our obligation. Remembering that what we do makes a difference. This effort will be due by Saturday, October 31, 2020
I understand that COVID-19 has caused us to change the way we have normally done things, but brothers I want you to remember change is happening. Anticipate change, monitor change, adapt to change, quickly change, enjoy change, and be ready to change. What we do as Laymen of the Southeast District matters!
Thank you,
Brother Michael Willis, Sr.
